This monument stands at the top of a hill overlooking Fergus Falls, Minnesota, and the surrounding area, just off the Highway 59 exit of I-94. It was designed by Steve Jaenisch[1] with help from the Otter Tail County Historical Society. It appears to be mounted on a cement slab once occupied by a small service station, complete with one-bay car repair shop, a small lobby, and two bathrooms. Two signs nearby explain the monument; one has a short story about the significance of the continental divide, the other has a map of the divide.
