An advertising blotter from Ole O. Sageng, Minnesota State Senator's District 9 election campaign for the US House of Representatives during the 1938 elections. His opposition were Richard Buckler for the Farmer-Labor party, and Martin Oscar Brandon. Ole lost by a small margin of less than 10%, allowing Buckler's reelection.^[1]

For Congress, vote for Ole O Sageng, a farmer candidate who will vote for the farmers, not against them.

Congressman Buckler voted for the law which has resulted in an order from Washington to Minnesota farmers to cut their 1939 wheat acerage 45 per cent. Remember: there's NO SURPLUS PRODUCTION of our premium spring wheat. Millions of bushels IMPORTED in recent years. Both Farmer-Labor senators from Minnesota -- to their credit it be said -- voted against this Raw Deal for the Northwest.

This is a deadly blow against grain farmers. Also against dairy farmers because it will increase dairy production enormously and add to the surplus in the bitter market from which they are now suffering. The certain result will be a loss of millions of dollars to the farmers on the Ninth District. In its effects, this loss to the farmers will be felt in every business and every home in the district.

It isn't the Tradition of American Farmers to take Treatment like that lying down.
