The guys aren&#8217;t so bad &#8212; pumpkin wide-collars shirts should be coming back into vogue any time now <span style=\"font-style:italic;\">(although I wonder if <a href=\"http:\/\/www.popmatters.com\/pm\/features\/article\/6574\/the-rural-hipster-why-we-need-chuck-klosterman\/\">Chuck Klosterman<\/a> in the back ever lived this down)<\/span>.  When it comes to the ladies&#8217; outfits, however, using the tablecloth to make dresses, that&#8217;s too much.  The pattern is so hideous, so camouflaging, that it&#8217;s possible there&#8217;s only one three-headed woman there, I can&#8217;t quite tell.  <\/p>\n<p>The Simmons, near as I can find out, was a Christian singing-family group from Winnipeg, Canada.   Of course, there&#8217;s nothing online about them, which is all the more reason I better put something online to document this lovely group.  Sadly, all I have is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.infomercantile.com\/-\/Image:The_Simmons_-_The_Touch_of_God_-_Front.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">this album&#8217;s dustjacket<\/a> &#8212; there&#8217;s no vinyl to be found.  While we now know what The Simmons looks like, their sound is temporarily lost to antiquity.<\/p>\n<div class=\"blogger-post-footer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/blogger.googleusercontent.com\/tracker\/1164514753160272371-6117249577008994294?l=www.infomercantile.com\/blog\" alt=\"\" \/><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Oh, dear, no&#8230;no, no, no.
