John Seiler of Hettinger was killed by a horse that he had just roped at the Pomranke place about 15 miles south of Hettinger June 20th. Those who witnessed the dragging declare that he must have been stunned when he first fell as he never made an effort to regain his feet during the 80 rods he was dragged. Charles Turner on horseback ran the colt down and managed to hold him until the arm of the unfortunate young man was released. He died in a short time. He was 32 years old and served 18 months in the recent war.
