LADY TEACHER ENDS HER LIFE NEAR WASHBURN


Miss Hulda Johnson, 24, Shoots Self With .22 Revolver Early This Morning.


Washburn, N.D., May 1—Miss Hulda Johnson, schoolteacher, in the Iowa district of McLean county, shot herself through the heart with a .22 rifle at 9 o'clock this morning in the Chaley {sp} Johnson farm house, 10 miles east of Washburn. She was 24 years old and the daughter of J.A. Johnson, a pioneer farmer of the Painted Woods district.

According to particulars reaching here, no one was at home at the time of the tragedy.
