Just Missed Death

Dickinson.—Oscar Reeves, brake man on an extra freight from Dickinson to Mandan, was injured at Gladstone. Mr. Reeves jumped to the depot platform thinking it would stop but it continued running slowly until it stopped at the water tank. Reeves caught the side of a box car but the hand-hold pulled loose and he fell between the platform and the wheels, shaking him up considerably, and bruising his hip quite badly. The railroad physician was called from Dickinson and Reeves was brought here on a west bound freight.
