Tortured by Robbers

Kenmare, N. D. Jan. 14.—Using fire-brands and beating him unmercifully in an attempt to wrest from him the secret hiding place of money which he is supposed to have about his farm near Baden, two robbers left Joseph Overholtz, age 71, lying unconscious in his home after failing in their effort. They secured but $25.
