This building was once located on the north side of 2nd Avenue North, just east of the original [[Fargo Public Library|public library]] site. It no longer exists.

==1920s==

On December 11, 1921, the building caught fire, destroying over 50 vehicles of [[Reliance Motor Company|, Fargo ND|Reliance Motor Company]] and causing the [[Hook Building, Fargo, ND|Hook Building]] next door to be evacuated and closing the [[Fargo Public Library|public library]] for at least a day. Two firefighters were injured in the blaze, overcome by smoke and fumes, but suffered only minor injuries.

==1950s==

According to the [[1954-1955_Fargo_and_Moorhead_City_Directory|'54-'55 city directory]], this address was occupied by Swanston Equipment Company.

==1980s and beyond==

In my youth, the southwest corner of this block, which contained 623 2nd Ave N, was always a parking lot.
