As far as the generic stereotype of generic performers goes, he has an energy and style that makes the one album (and presumably the only album) we have of his. His voice reflects that he is, well, an older gentleman, and it has the ring of a radio announcer, but it doesn't detract from the style of music he performs, and gives it a sound of his own.
