Mechanically identical to other Smith-Corona typewriters of the time, SCM enlisted (or simply licensed) Ghia Design to produce the "Super G" model of typewriter in 1970. It came in Turquoise (seen here) and Orange.

The case does appear to be styled after a race-car, with its striking colors and off-center racing stripes on the outside. While the outside has many rounded edges, the machine inside is extremely angular. The carrying handle is nicely designed, disappearing into the plastic moulding when not in use, but easily expanding into a firm, bulky carrying handle for transportation.
